Terms and Conditions

Last updated: June 7, 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully. They are a legal agreement between you and Tend, and they govern your use of the Tend mobile application and any related services (together, the "App").

By creating an account or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who we are

The App is provided by Tend ("Tend", "we", "us", or "our"), operated as a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.

You can contact us at any time by email at support@tendapp.uk.

2. What Tend is — and what it is not

Tend is a private app for two partners in a relationship. It offers features such as a private vault, love letters, shared questions and games, date planning, a shared canvas, daily challenges, and more, to help couples stay connected.

Tend is intended for entertainment and personal enrichment only. Tend is not a medical, mental-health, counselling, therapy, or crisis service, and it is not a substitute for professional advice. If you are struggling or in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or an emergency service in your country.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the App. By using the App you confirm that you are 18 or over and are legally able to enter into these Terms.

4. Your account and security

To use the App you create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for everything that happens under your account.

If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us at support@tendapp.uk as soon as possible.

5. Pairing with your partner

Tend is designed for two people. You connect with your partner by sharing or entering an invite code. Pairing requires both people to take part — your partner must enter your code (or you theirs) for the connection to be made.

You may be connected to one partner at a time. Most features in Tend are shared between you and your partner once you are paired.

6. Unpairing, break-ups, and what happens to your content

Relationships change, and you can end a pairing. If you or your partner unpair, or if an account is deleted:

Re-pairing (with the same or a different partner) is allowed, but we cannot guarantee that content from a previous pairing can be restored. Where we can, we will act reasonably, but please treat anything you want to keep as something you should also save outside the App.

7. Your content and your privacy

You are responsible for the content you create, upload, or share in the App ("Your Content"), and for making sure you have the right to share it — including, where relevant, the consent of anyone featured in it.

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us. Please read it alongside these Terms.

8. Ownership and licence

You keep ownership of Your Content. We do not claim ownership of your photos, notes, letters, voice recordings, or anything else you create.

To run the App for you (for example, to store your content, deliver a letter to your partner, or show a shared canvas), you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, and display Your Content only as needed to provide the App to you and your partner. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except where we need to keep limited copies to comply with the law or for a short period in normal backups.

Tend, including its software, design, branding, and the "Tend" name and logo, belongs to us. You may not copy, resell, or misuse it.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to create, store, share, or send anything that:

We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these rules (see section 18).

10. Intimate content

Tend is an intimate app for adults in a relationship, and you may choose to keep or share personal, romantic, or sexual content. This is permitted, provided that:

You are solely responsible for ensuring these conditions are met. Content depicting anyone under 18 is never permitted under any circumstances.

11. Reporting and moderation

If you come across content or behaviour in the App that you believe breaks these Terms, please report it to support@tendapp.uk with as much detail as you can.

The App is built around private content between two partners, so we do not proactively monitor everything. However, we may review content where we reasonably need to — for example, to investigate a report, to comply with the law, to keep people safe, or to provide support — and we may remove content or restrict accounts where appropriate.

12. Subscriptions, payments, and refunds

Some features of Tend are free. Others are part of a paid subscription ("Tend Pro" or "Premium"), which unlocks additional content and features described in the App at the time you subscribe.

13. Changes to the App

We are always improving Tend. We may add, change, or remove features, and some features may be experimental or offered on a beta basis. Experimental features are provided "as is", may not work perfectly, and may change or be withdrawn at any time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

14. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work hard to provide a reliable, enjoyable experience, we do not promise that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will meet your specific expectations.

Tend is for entertainment and personal enrichment. We do not promise any particular outcome for your relationship, and we are not responsible for personal or relationship difficulties, disagreements, break-ups, or emotional distress.

Nothing in this section limits the warranties or rights you have that cannot be excluded under UK law.

15. Our liability to you

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

The App is intended for personal, private use by consumers. We are not liable for any business losses (such as loss of profits, business, or anticipated savings).

16. Your responsibility to us

You agree to be responsible for, and to compensate us for, any reasonable losses, costs, or claims we suffer that arise from your misuse of the App or your breach of these Terms, to the extent caused by you. This does not apply where the loss was our fault.

17. AI and automated features

The App may include features that use artificial intelligence or automated suggestions (for example, ideas, prompts, or recommendations). These are provided to help and inspire you, but they may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. Please use your own judgement and do not rely on them as professional advice.

18. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or end your access to the App, in whole or in part, if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably need to in order to protect the App, other users, or ourselves, or if required by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will let you know.

Any sections of these Terms that by their nature should continue after your use ends (for example, ownership, liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

19. Apple App Store

The following applies if you download the App from the Apple App Store:

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, to reflect new features or changes in the law. When we make significant changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, such as updating the date at the top and, where appropriate, notifying you in the App. By continuing to use the App after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

21. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we agree that the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except that if you live in another part of the United Kingdom you may also bring proceedings in your home nation.
